Dear Sirs,
Could the Parish Council please put it’s mind to resolving the appalling parking by parents picking their children up from the school. Today, 17 December, it was impossible to drive down Middle Street because of the cars parked on the hill. Two cars were face to face half way down, neither having space to pass. This blocked Middle Street entirely. In addition Overend was down to a single track due to cars parked both sides from the bus shelter to past the Black Horse. Cars had even parked on the traffic calming chicanes making the road extremely dangerous. In my mind there should be double yellow lines on the chicanes and the police should be asked to drive through occasionally at start and end of the school day. Perhaps a few tickets would make parents park more responsibly.
