MINUTES OF ELTON PARISH COUNCIL MEETING HELD IN THE HIGHGATE
HALL ON TUESDAY 22nd July 2008

2. Declaration of Interest

3. Erosion of Greens & Verges
Purpose of meeting was to discuss what to do to help preserve village greens with
grant that Parish Council has received.
A leaflet listing suggestions would be circulated to all members of the Parish for them
to respond to and also offer suggestions. Responses to be received by say 27th
August. The results would be discussed at a further meeting to which the parish are
invited on Wednesday 3rd September at 8.00 p.m. in the Highgate Hall.
A circular would be drafted and forwarded to Chairman and once agreed would be
circulated as soon as possible ensuring all parishioners receive a copy.
Other matters discussed re verges:
Posts outside The Limes – has permission been granted
New House School Lane – Cllr Elvin to speak with occupier.
Work on Bus Shelter – letter of thanks to be sent.
Mile Stone – opposite garage has been repainted.
The Pound – working party to be arranged.
Trees outside property The Gables – copies of letters to be requested.
