MINUTES OF ELTON PARISH COUNCIL MEETING HELD IN THE HIGHGATE HALL ON TUESDAY 18TH MAY 2010 AT 8.00 P.M.

1. Apologies for Absence

2. Declaration of Interest
None
3. Election of Officers
Cllr Truman stood down and handed meeting over to the Parish Clerk.
The Parish Clerk asked for nominations for position of Chairman.
Cllr Porter proposed Cllr Truman this was seconded by Cllr Kirk, all in favour.
Cllr Truman said that he would continue as Chairman for the next 12 months subject to assistance from his fellow councillors.
The Parish Clerk asked for nominations for position of Vice Chairman. Cllr Hidderley proposed Cllr Kirk for Vice Chairman, seconded by Cllr Porter, all in favour.
4. Minutes of 20th April 2010
Cllr Hidderley proposed minutes agreed, seconded by Cllr Porter, all in favour..
5. Finance/Authorisation of Payments
Affordable Aggregates 30.4.10 – ALREADY PAID £93.00
MHB Services Limited – Lighting Maint. 1.5.10 £46.02
Wendy Gray, Parish Clerk, Wages & Exp. March/April £212.30
Highgate Hall – Hire of Annexe 23rd March/20th April £22.00
Paul Taylor – Internal Audit £100.00
Cllr Hidderley proposed above payments were made, seconded Cllr Porter, all in favour.
Cllr Truman requested at next meeting discuss Finance as a whole, what grants are available etc.

8. Planning
Great Haddon – Cllr Guyatt explained what has happened to date with regards to Hampton, suggested we keep a watching brief.

9. Erosion of Greens & Verges
New contractor started grasscutting today.
Grasscrete completed on verge of big green.
10. Councillor Vacancies
Four vacancies available – advert to be placed on noticeboard for written responses to be received by 8th June 2010.
11. Reports from Councillors
Cllr Guyatt reported that a new street light will be installed at top of School Lane paid for by CCC.
Road re-surfacing to be carried out along Wansford Road.
Local Development Framework – request for response date to be extended.
Cllr Truman proposed that only headings placed on the agenda is when there is something to report, all in favour.
The meeting closed at approx. 9.30 p.m.
