MINUTES OF ELTON PARISH COUNCIL MEETING HELD IN THE HIGHGATE HALL ON TUESDAY 20TH APRIL 2010 AT 8.00 P.M.

3. Minutes of 23rd March 2010
Cllr Kirk proposed minutes agreed, Cllr Porter seconded, all in favour.
4. Matters Arising from the Minutes of 23rd March 2010
All matters covered and current situation advised.
5. Finance/Authorisation of Payments
MHB Services Limited – Lighting Maint. 1.4.10 £46.02
Wendy Gray, Parish Clerk, Wages & Exp. March/April £206.24
CPALC – Affiliation Fee 2010/2011 £217.12
Luminus Oak Foundation £198.64
MHB Services Limited – Repair work carried out £346.43
BCN Multiclean – grasscutting 15.4.10 £180.00
Cllr Burgess proposed above payments were made, all in favour.
Risk Management signed off.
Elton Church of England Primary School – Cllr Burgess agreed to get quotation for gravel. It was agreed work to be completed on Saturday 1st May.
6. Highways
Cllr Bense reported that highways were around the village filling in potholes, could we request that verge outside number 3 Stocks Green is repaired.

Nothing to report
8. Planning
No new plans received.
Electronic Consultation – request 1 hard copy is also forward to Parish Council.
Cllr Truman reported that he had had a meeting with Sir William Proby who advised that they were changing gates into Elton Hall, no planning permission is required.
9. Greens & Verges
Work is due to commence installing Grasscrete on Village Green on Monday 26th April and should be completed by Friday 31st April. Contractor to be advised that area is to be left totally clear when he leaves site.
Revised quotation received from existing grass contractor plus one new quotation received. After lengthy discussion it was agreed Parish Clerk would ask existing contractor if they can review and reduce their quotation, if not then we would offer to other contractor.

11. Reports from Councillors
Bus Shelter Overend – tiles missing, Cllr Kirk to have a word with builder to have a look at what repairs needed.
